Wilderness First Responder Certification – WFR
The Wilderness First Responder Certification is the ideal medical training program for leaders in remote areas. These leaders include outdoor educators, guides, military, professional search and rescue teams, researchers, and those involved in disaster relief. The curriculum is comprehensive and practical. It includes the essential principles and skills required to assess and manage medical problems in isolated and extreme environments for days and weeks if necessary.
We are proud to partner with Wilderness Medical Associates (WMA), offering their curriculum and certification for our medical courses. This leader in wilderness and rescue medicine is dedicated to the development of remote and practical medicine around the globe.
Hybrid Wilderness First Responder (5 Day)
The Hybrid course includes a required e-learning section with 30+ hours of interactive online learning followed by 45+ hours of in-person learning over the course of five days. The e-learning section includes interactive learning modules with videos, readings, self-practice assignments, quizzes, and case studies. Students must register two weeks prior to the course to ensure adequate time to complete the e-learning section.
